What do I need to prepare before starting a website?

Before you start

Coming prepared gets the project off to the right start

Before starting a website it helps to prepare clear goals, an internal contact person, your existing materials (logo, copy, photos, catalogues) and a list of the websites you like or the competitors you want to stand out from. You don't need to have everything ready: you need to know what you have and what is missing, so we can plan the work without stopping halfway. We look forward to seeing you at our Cantù office, in the province of Como, or we can connect remotely.

The checklist

What to gather before the first meeting

These items help us understand your project and estimate effort and schedule. If something is missing, we produce it together: we create photos and video in-house, and for visual identity we have a dedicated service.

Services of interest

A web project slows down mainly because of late content, too many decision-makers, changes of direction once work has started and unclear integrations. In the projects we follow from Cantù for companies in Como and Milan, this is avoided with a single contact person, wireframes approved before design and a shared plan.

The initial analysis and brief are the meetings, in Cantù or remotely, where we define the site's goals, audience, content, integrations and languages. The result is a shared site map that forms the basis of the work plan, for companies in Como, Milan and Lugano.

A website wireframe is a simplified layout of each type of page that shows content, hierarchy and calls to action, without the final graphics. We share it with companies in Como, Brianza and Milan before the design, to decide the structure quickly and avoid costly changes later.

A headless CMS manages content separately from the design and delivers it through APIs to a website, app or configurators. An enterprise CMS can also work headless: from Cantù we propose it to companies in Como, Brianza and Milan when content needs to appear on several channels.

A portal for resellers and agents is designed starting from the sales network's daily activities: users, content and permissions are mapped and the data sources identified, often the management system or PIM. NewVisibility builds it in Cantù for the sales networks of companies in Como and Milan.
