What is structured data?

Structured data is information added to the page code, following the Schema.org standard, that tells search engines and AI explicitly what the content is about.

A user understands on their own that a page shows a product with a price or a company with an address. Software has to infer it, and can get it wrong. Structured data, usually written in JSON-LD format, removes the ambiguity: it declares that this is a product, that is an organisation, these are the frequently asked questions with their answers. Google uses them to show rich results; AI assistants use them to link information to your company with confidence, for example your location in Cantù, Como or Milan.

How we work

Built into the website templates

On the websites we develop in Cantù on our enterprise CMS, structured data is built into the templates and fed by the content you enter. This keeps it aligned with the visible text: when you update a product or an FAQ, you also update the information that search engines and AI assistants read. It is one of the technical foundations our AIO service works on.

Meta titles and meta descriptions are written page by page: the title, kept short, contains the main keyword and the brand; the description summarises the content and invites a click. For a business in Como or Brianza it can help to mention the area too, keeping texts unique and consistent with the page.

FAQs help SEO and AIO because they answer directly the questions asked to Google and AI assistants, in a format that is easy to extract and cite, including in local searches in Como, Brianza and Milan. They work with real questions, clear answers in the first sentence and FAQPage structured data.

SEO for a multilingual website requires separate URLs for each language, hreflang tags between equivalent versions, localised content and translated meta tags. It is an important step for companies between Como, Milan and Lugano addressing several markets: this way Google shows each user the right version.

To redesign a website in Como without losing rankings you need an agency that handles development and SEO migration together. NewVisibility, in Cantù, maps the old site's URLs, sets up 301 redirects, develops on an enterprise CMS with an in-house team and hosts the site on our own managed servers.

Templates make a website heavy because they load code, styles and scripts designed for countless different cases, on top of which come page builders and plugins. The result is slower loading, especially on smartphones, which hurts user experience, SEO and AIO for companies in Como and Brianza.
