Why can the same site receive a Special Kudos as well as the UI, UX and Innovation awards?

Multiple recognitions

Why several items appear on the same site

The same site can receive Special Kudos together with Best UI, Best UX and Best Innovation because the items are separate: Best UI, Best UX and Best Innovation look at interface, user experience and innovation, while Special Kudos is a recognition in its own right, listed on the page next to the categories.

We do not know, and do not describe, the reasons behind individual awards, because the Awards page does not report them: we simply list the recognitions site by site.

When UI, UX and innovation come from the same project, it is natural for a site to be recognised on several fronts.

Our method does not separate the three areas. Every project starts from research on visual language, information architecture and interface systems, and works on aesthetics, usability and digital innovation on the same level. A site designed this way offers more aspects to recognise.

On the Awards page the combination appears in different ways, and we state it precisely:

  • for Pagano, Italian Fit Out, CLJD shoes and Cierre, Special Kudos is listed together with Best UI, Best UX and Best Innovation
  • for Hessentia and Villa Clementina, Special Kudos in the Best UI, UX and Innovation categories
  • for JCP Universe, Special Kudos and Best UI/UX, without Best Innovation
  • for MisuraEmme, only Special Kudos

What it means for those choosing an agency

If you are a company in Como, Brianza or Milan, the number of items is neither a ranking nor a promise: the recognition concerns the site, not the results you may achieve. It is more useful to see what has been done, in the web portfolio.

Pagano (2026), Italian Fit Out (2023), CLJD shoes (2021) and Cierre (2020) show Special Kudos, Best UI, UX and Innovation; Hessentia (2025) and Villa Clementina (2024) show Special Kudos in UI, UX and Innovation. They are sites built by the team in Cantù, in the province of Como.

For visitors to the website of a company in Como or Brianza, Best UX Design means finding your way around with no effort and quickly reaching what interests you. It is a general reading of the field, with no promise of results: it is how our team in Cantù designs websites.

NewVisibility, an agency based in Cantù in the province of Como, has sites with award-winning UI and UX from the CSS Design Awards, including Pagano, Hessentia and Villa Clementina. The in-house team covers development, photo, video and marketing for companies in Como, Brianza, Milan and Lugano.

The CSS Design Awards look at the design, usability and innovation of a site; NewVisibility's sites have been recognised in the categories Special Kudos, Best UI, Best UX and Best Innovation. For companies in Como, Brianza and Milan, these are concrete aspects to look for in a new website.

Because a quality website must be beautiful to look at, simple to use and able to explore new paths: if one of the three dimensions is missing, the experience is weakened. It is the principle the Awards page attributes to the Pagano site and that NewVisibility brings to its projects from Cantù, Como and Brianza.
