Website development for aseptic system components
Rattiinox, a company supplying components for pharmaceutical, chemical and food processing plants, approached our web development agency in Cantù to create a high-performance website.
The defining feature of this project is the CAD library. Those who purchase valves and aseptic components are not simply buyers but designers, who are drawing up a plant layout and require a three-dimensional model of the component to incorporate into their technical drawing. Making those files available directly from the website means integrating into the client’s workflow at the very moment the decision on which supplier to choose is made.
This feature changes the nature of the website: it is no longer a showcase that generates enquiries, but a tool that the designer opens whilst working. The CAD section is organised by component family, ranging from process valves to tank-bottom valves, from diverters to actuators, right through to diaphragms, filter units and spare parts.
Alongside the library, the website features a component configuration section and an extensive technical catalogue, with aseptic diaphragm and sampling valves among the main product families. The website is entirely in English, in keeping with an industry in which pharmaceutical and food processing plants are designed by engineering firms and general contractors operating on an international scale.
Becoming part of the decision-makers’ workflow
Anyone who chooses an aseptic valve is not simply a buyer: they are a designer drawing up a system. The moment they include a component in their technical drawing, that choice has effectively already been made, and is unlikely to be reconsidered afterwards.
This is why the CAD library is at the heart of the Rattiinox project. Making the models available on the website means entering the customer’s workflow at precisely the moment the decision is made, rather than waiting for a contact request that would arrive too late. It’s an example of what we mean when we say that a website must do something, not just display information.
