Explaining a service the market does not know

Website for a tyre storage service

Tagliabue Tyres Hotel is an advanced professional storage facility for keeping tyres during the periods they are not in use: a service new to Italy, efficient and reliable. The website built by our agency had to tackle a specific challenge.

When a service does not yet exist on the market, the website cannot simply sell it: first it has to make people understand it. Nobody searches Google for something they do not know exists, so the job is not to intercept demand but to build it, starting from the problem the service solves and arriving at the solution.

That is why the structure is pared down to the essentials and built like a line of reasoning: how it works, what advantages it offers, who runs it and how to get in touch. Four sections, in the order in which someone unfamiliar with the service would have it explained to them in person.

It is a structure that looks sparse but is in fact the right choice. Adding sections to a website that has to explain a new concept means distracting from the thread of the argument, and the thread is the only thing that matters: visitors must reach the end having understood why it would be worth it for them. A catalogue, references or a news section would, at this stage, work against the goal.

A new service has to be explained before it is sold

When a service is new to the market, all the usual positioning logic goes out of the window. You cannot intercept a search nobody makes, because nobody looks for something they do not know exists. The website therefore has to build demand rather than respond to it.

Hence a structure of just four sections, arranged in the order in which someone would have the idea explained to them in person: how it works, what advantages it has, who runs it, how to contact them. Adding anything else would have broken the thread of the argument, which in a project like this is the only thing that matters. Sizing the website to the real goal is as much part of the job as building it.

NewVisibility was founded in 2013 by Andrea and Luca, lifelong friends who had already been building websites for several years before giving themselves a name. Since then we have worked with more than three hundred clients. We are a team on a human scale: you talk directly to the people working on your project, with no intermediaries, even after launch.

NewVisibility, a web development agency in the province of Como, which designed the explanatory structure and built the website for the service.

An advanced professional storage facility for keeping tyres during the periods they are not in use, with a reliable, tracked management system.

Because it has to explain a service the market does not know. Adding sections would distract from the line of reasoning, which is the only thing that matters.

By starting from the problem it solves and arriving at the solution. You cannot intercept a search nobody makes, so demand has to be built.

Anyone who changes tyres seasonally and lacks the space or the right conditions to store them, as well as fleets and companies managing several vehicles.

Because on a website that has to explain a new concept, every extra element pulls away from the thread of the argument and reduces the chances that visitors reach the end.

Yes. These are projects where the main work is building the line of reasoning, because structure matters more than aesthetics and explanation comes before selling.
