For Dott.ssa Maria Bertollo, a psychologist and psychotherapist in Cantù, our agency built a deliberately essential website, organised into four sections that cover four distinct information needs.
The most interesting part of the project is a section dedicated to questions about psychotherapy. It is a choice that addresses a real problem: many people put off the first contact not because they do not need help, but because they are unsure how a course of therapy works, how long it lasts or what happens during a session. These are doubts that are rarely raised over the phone, because asking them would mean exposing oneself. Finding them already addressed on the website lowers a real barrier.
Alongside this section are the professional presentation, the clinical work and an area dedicated to work in schools, which is a completely different field from private practice: institutional contacts, structured projects and different timescales. Keeping it separate prevents two such different audiences from getting in each other's way.
The design is understated and the content is organised to be easy to read. In this field restraint is itself a message: an overly elaborate website would communicate a promise of results that a profession like this cannot make. The site is responsive and adapts to every device.

This is the kind of reasoning we apply before deciding on the sections: not which pages are needed to present the professional, but what holds a person back from taking the first step. The opposite choice matters too, namely not adding more: in a field like this an overly elaborate website would communicate a promise the profession cannot make.
