Website development for a consultancy firm specialising in start-ups and businesses WebWebsite development for a start-up investment firm
For YP Italia, a Como-based organisation specialising in supporting start-ups and businesses, we have created a modern and functional website, designed to communicate the services on offer clearly and immediately.
The company defines itself with a precise formula: it invests capital and strategy in start-ups and scale-ups, sharing a vision and values in sectors with high growth potential. It is a positioning that says it all, and the website had to support this without diluting it.
For this reason, the structure is limited to three sections: About Us, Services and Contact. In a project of this kind, the temptation to add more is strong, as the investment sector is brimming with potential content: market analysis, portfolios, investment theses. But each of these would have required an ongoing editorial commitment, and static content communicates less effectively than no content at all.
There is also a substantive reason. Those seeking a financial partner for their business do not browse the site: they assess whether that firm is right for them and, if so, get in touch. The path from arriving on the website to making contact must be as short as possible, because every additional section is an opportunity for the visitor to be put off. The website is bilingual in Italian and English, in keeping with a sector where stakeholders and capital operate across borders.
Stale content communicates less effectively than no content at all
In the investment sector, there is a strong temptation to pad out a website: market analysis, investment theses, portfolios. All sensible content, but each requires an ongoing editorial commitment, and a blog that has been dormant for two years says far more about a company than its absence ever would.
With YP Italia, we therefore recommended a minimalist approach: three sections and a very short path to making contact. Anyone looking for a financial partner for their business does not browse: they evaluate and get in touch. Advising a client against doing more – when that ‘more’ would actually work against them – is as much a part of the job as actually delivering results.
NewVisibility was founded in 2013 based on an idea by Andrea and Luca, lifelong friends who had already been building websites for several years before giving themselves a name. Since then, we have worked with over three hundred clients. We’re a team on a human scale: you speak directly to the people working on your project, with no middlemen, even after the site goes live.

NewVisibility, a web development agency in the province of Como, which built the company's bilingual website.
It takes part with capital and strategy in start-ups and scale-ups, sharing vision and value in sectors with high growth potential.
Taking part brings skills and strategy as well as capital. It is the position of an operating partner, not simply a financial backer of the business.
Because anyone looking for a financial partner evaluates and gets in touch, rather than browsing. Every additional section lengthens the path to contact and offers a reason to put it off.
Because they would require an ongoing editorial commitment. Content left untouched for months signals neglect: it only makes sense if it is kept up to date, otherwise it is better not to have it.
Because in the investment sector stakeholders and capital move across borders, and the English version is often the first to be consulted.
Yes, when doing more would work against the client. Proposing structures bigger than necessary is easy, but it does not help those who then have to maintain them.
