Studio Sassi needed a corporate website that clearly showed all its areas of activity and made information easy to find in just a few clicks. It is a seemingly simple request that hides a real difficulty.
An accountancy firm covers very different areas, and the client who lands on the website almost always has a specific need: they want to understand within seconds whether the firm handles it. A long, undifferentiated list has the opposite effect, because it forces people to read everything to find one thing.
The areas were therefore split into six stand-alone paths: corporate consultancy and statutory audit, planning and management control, tax consultancy, corporate finance and strategy, administrative and accounting management, and electronic invoicing. These areas address different business situations, from the start-up setting up its accounts to the company facing an extraordinary transaction.
Alongside the areas are the presentation of the firm and its professionals, which is decisive in consultancy because people choose a person before a firm, the partners section and a reserved area for clients. The website is bilingual, in Italian and English, in keeping with a firm that assists companies with international relationships.
Finding things in a few clicks seems simple, but it is not
Studio Sassi's request was for information to be findable in just a few clicks. Put like that it seems obvious, but it is the hardest part of a professional website: a firm covers very different areas and clients almost always arrive with a single question.
A long, undifferentiated list forces them to read everything to find one thing, and people in a hurry give up. Separating the areas into six stand-alone paths lets everyone recognise their own straight away, and it is also how those skills are searched for online: nobody types "accountant", they search for the problem they have.
