One code that opens different menus for different uses

Menu digitisation for a restaurant in Bulgarograsso

To minimise the risk of infection when restaurants reopened, Ristorante del Murett turned to our agency to digitise its menu.

The solution adopted is the same one we applied to other venues in the area: a QR code placed on the tables which, when scanned with the camera, opens the menu directly in the customer's browser. No app to download, no registration, no permissions to grant. At that moment, this was the choice that made the difference between a system that was actually used and one abandoned after the first attempt.

In this specific case, however, the digital menu also solves a problem that the emergency merely brought to light. The restaurant manages different menus for different uses: food, pizza, business lunch, wine cellar, gift ideas, plus takeaway menus and menus for receptions. With printing, every change to any of these comes at a cost.

The menu lives inside the restaurant's website, so each menu is updated like normal content. The QR code on the tables always remains valid because it points to a page and not to its content, and the takeaway menus remain available to people browsing from home before they order.

The same solution pays off more where there are many menus

The digital menu is presented as a response to the health emergency, but its real value is measured by how many menus a restaurant has. Here there are many: food, pizza, business lunch, wine cellar, gift ideas, plus takeaway menus and menus for receptions.

With printing, every change to any of these is a cost. In digital form it is a few minutes' edit. And there is an extra advantage that goes beyond the dining room: the takeaway menus can be viewed from home before phoning to order, which is exactly when they are needed.

NewVisibility was founded in 2013 from an idea by Andrea and Luca, lifelong friends who had already been building websites for more than 20 years before giving themselves a name. Since then we have worked with more than three hundred clients. We are a human-sized team: you speak directly with the people working on your project, with no intermediaries, even after launch.

NewVisibility, a communication agency in the province of Como, which built the QR code menu system for the restaurant in Bulgarograsso.

The customer scans the QR code on the table and the menu opens in the browser, on the restaurant's website, without downloading any app.

Because downloading an app is an obstacle most customers sitting at the table will not get past. The browser is already installed on every smartphone.

Several: food, pizza, business lunch, wine cellar and gift ideas, as well as takeaway menus and offers for receptions and ceremonies.

Yes, and that is an added advantage: they can be viewed from home before phoning to order, which is when the customer really needs them.

Yes, we have done so for several venues in the Como and Cantù area, tailoring the solution to the number of menus and the specific uses of each venue.
