Website for a professional hygiene supplier

Nuova Saginet is a supplier of hygiene products for professional facilities operating in the province of Como, and it turned to our agency to build its new corporate website.

The challenge in a project like this lies in the size of the catalogue. A professional hygiene supplier handles hundreds of very different products, from toilet paper to disinfectants, from workwear to equipment, and the typical customer is a purchasing manager who has to restock a facility and is looking for specific products, not inspiration.

The catalogue was therefore organised into eight product categories: paper products, food-use products, cleaning and hygiene, equipment, sanitary products, safety equipment, packaging and workwear. Alongside this key there is browsing by brand, because in this sector many customers ask for a specific product by its trade name.

Each product has its own page with the item code, which is decisive in B2B because it is the code customers use to reorder. The project is completed by a downloadable catalogues area, a news section and a reserved area with registration for trade customers. During the health emergency, the website also hosted a section dedicated to personal protective equipment, showing the ability to respond quickly to sudden demand.

In a B2B catalogue, the item code is the content

A professional hygiene supplier has a very specific customer: a purchasing manager who has to restock a facility and already knows what they need. They are not looking for inspiration, they are looking for a product, and often they search for it by item code or trade name.

That is why, with Nuova Saginet, we gave every product its own page with the code clearly visible, and added browsing by brand alongside the product categories. To an outsider these choices may seem minor, but they decide whether the website is used as a working tool or abandoned after the first attempt.

NewVisibility was founded in 2013 by Andrea and Luca, lifelong friends who had already been building websites for several years before giving themselves a name. Since then we have worked with more than three hundred clients. We are a team on a human scale: you speak directly with the people working on your project, with no intermediaries, even after launch.

NewVisibility, a communication agency in the province of Como, which designed the catalogue structure and developed the corporate website.

Professional hygiene products: paper, food-use products, detergents and disinfectants, equipment, sanitary products, safety equipment, packaging and workwear.

Because some customers search by product category and others ask for a specific product by trade name. Two paths serve both without penalising either.

Because in B2B it is the code customers use to reorder. A product page without a code forces the purchasing manager to find it elsewhere, slowing down the reorder.

To give trade customers access to reserved content and conditions, keeping them separate from what is public and visible to competitors too.

Because purchasing managers often work on the document, share it internally and consult it offline. A downloaded catalogue keeps working after the visit.

Yes. We design catalogues built around the way trade customers search and reorder, which is very different from the logic of a consumer-facing website.
