Website for a brand consultant
A brand and communication strategy consultant, Marilena Colussi offers consultancy and market research services to companies and institutions. We have worked with her for a long time, and the continuity of the relationship shaped the project more than a one-off assignment would have.
A consultant's website poses a specific challenge: there is no product to show, and visitors judge the professional solely on how she thinks. The solution adopted is the most direct one possible: publishing the work. The site includes a section dedicated to research, which makes the method visible instead of describing it.
The central structural choice, however, is the organisation into sector verticals: food, drink, retail and social. These four areas work across both research and news, so that a reader interested in food retail can follow a single thread through content of different kinds. It is a simple taxonomy that does a double job.
The project is completed by the profile, approach and services pages, which explain the working method, and the clients and partners sections, which in consultancy are the most concrete reference. The visual design is understated and serves the reading: on a site that stands on its content, every superfluous graphic element takes attention away from the one thing the visitor came to assess.
Those who sell expertise prove it by publishing
A consultant's website has no products to show: visitors judge the professional by how she thinks. The most effective answer is also the most direct one: publishing the work. That is why the research section is the heart of the project: it makes the method visible instead of describing it in words.
The second decision was to organise the content by sector verticals, the same for research and news. It is a simple taxonomy that does a double job, because it lets anyone interested in one area follow a single thread through content of different kinds. Working with a client who is herself a communication expert leads to more precise discussions than usual, and it is one of the reasons the collaboration has lasted so long.
NewVisibility was founded in 2013 from an idea by Andrea and Luca, lifelong friends who had already been building websites for several years before giving themselves a name. Since then we have worked with more than three hundred clients. We are a team on a human scale: you talk directly to the people working on your project, with no intermediaries, even after the site goes live.

NewVisibility, a web agency in the province of Como, which has worked with her for a long time and looked after her online presence.
Market research, communication and brand consultancy, with services for both companies and institutions.
By publishing their work. With no product to show, making research and analysis visible demonstrates the method far better than any description.
Four thematic areas, food, drink, retail and social, which organise both research and news, making it possible to follow a single thread of interest.
Because it lets a reader interested in one area find everything that concerns it, whatever the format of the content. It is a simple structure with a double effect.
To provide concrete references. In consultancy, where it is hard to judge in advance, knowing who the professional has worked with is the most convincing element.
Understated and serving the reading. On a site that stands on its content, every superfluous element takes attention away from what the visitor came to assess.
