Intes Corporate e-commerce development in Novedrate
Corporate e-commerce development in Novedrate WebE-commerce development for an elastic webbing manufacturer
Intes S.p.A., a textile market leader in the production of elastic webbing for furniture and seating, came to our agency with a particular need: it required three distinct websites, with different features depending on the country from which visitors browse.
It is a request that goes beyond simple multilingual support. A translated website shows the same content in different languages; here, instead, the available features change, because markets have different commercial rules, sales methods and contacts. Building three separate websites, however, would have meant tripling maintenance, catalogue and updates.
The solution was to build a single Magento e-commerce installation, using the platform's ability to manage multiple store views on top of the same catalogue. Each product is entered only once, while visibility, features and commercial behaviour change according to the browsing context. It is the kind of architecture you pay for at the design stage and that pays you back every day in management.
The catalogue is organised by application: elastic webbing, outdoor line, straps and webbing machines, the latter category aimed at manufacturers rather than buyers of single items. The website also separates a path for businesses from one for consumers, which translates into navigation the company's dual commercial nature, able to serve both the industrial supply chain and the end customer.
Three different websites without tripling the management work
Intes's request was unusual: three websites with different features depending on the browsing country, not three translations. The simplest route would have been three separate projects, but that would have meant tripling catalogue, updates and maintenance, passing on to the client a cost that repeats every day.
Instead we chose a single Magento installation with multiple store views, where each product is entered once and behaves differently depending on the context. It is an architectural decision that takes more work at the design stage and saves a great deal afterwards. These are choices that can only be made when the developers talk directly to the client and understand how it operates.
NewVisibility was founded in 2013 by Andrea and Luca, lifelong friends who had already been building websites for several years before giving themselves a name. Since then we have worked with more than three hundred clients. We are a human-sized team: you talk directly to the people working on your project, with no intermediaries, even after launch.

NewVisibility, a web development agency in the province of Como, which designed the multi-site architecture and developed the platform on Magento.
Elastic webbing for furniture and seating, with a range that also includes an outdoor line, straps and webbing machines for manufacturers.
It means the available features change, not just the language. Different markets have different commercial rules and sales methods, and the website behaves accordingly.
Because it would have tripled catalogue, updates and maintenance. A single installation with multiple store views means each product is entered only once.
Different views built on top of the same catalogue, each with its own content, language and commercial behaviour, managed from a single installation of the platform.
Because the company serves both the industrial supply chain and the end customer, two audiences with very different needs, volumes and price expectations.
Yes. We design platforms that manage several markets from a single base, so that the day-to-day updating work stays in one place.
