A B2B website built for international distributors

Website development for a medical device company

Alma is an Italian company dedicated to the development, manufacture, registration and licensing of medical devices for topical use. Its research into skin-care solutions has produced a range distributed worldwide: medical devices, cosmeceuticals and food supplements, with applications ranging from dermatology to gynaecology, from proctology to oral care.

The company relied on our experience to build a responsive website. The audience to reach, however, was not the end consumer: it was international distributors and partners who assess a supplier before getting in touch. This premise guided every design choice.

The website was therefore set up in English and the catalogue organised by clinical application area rather than by internal code, following the logic a professional uses when looking for a solution: they start from the problem, not from the product reference. On top of this structure we built a restrained visual design, with clear typographic hierarchies and generous white space, because in the medical field clarity conveys reliability better than any visual effect.

The project includes a dedicated path for those who want to apply as distributors, a reserved area with personalised access for existing partners, and a news section the company can update on its own. The latter is not a detail: on a corporate website it is the only content that keeps being renewed over time and that feeds organic positioning.

We look in your direction and show you new points of view

Not every website has to make an impact. Some have to reassure. In a sector like the medical one, where readers look for precision rather than entertainment, the hardest work is taking things away: fewer effects, fewer elements, more clarity. But taking away is a decision, and it has to be made together with the client.

It is the way we have always worked: first we put ourselves on your side and understand where you want to go, then we do not simply execute. For Alma this meant proposing two things that were not in the original request: organising the catalogue by clinical area instead of product code, and adding a reserved area for existing distributors alongside the public website. Perspectives that come from dialogue, not from the brief.

NewVisibility was founded in 2013 and since then has worked with more than three hundred clients in very different sectors, from furniture to pharmaceuticals. We are a human-sized team: you speak directly with the people working on your project, with no intermediaries. And for us a website is not simply delivered: it is supported over time.

NewVisibility, a web agency in the province of Como. We handled the design, responsive development, catalogue structure and set-up of the reserved area for distributors.

It develops, manufactures, registers and licenses medical devices for topical use, as well as cosmeceuticals and supplements, with applications in dermatology, gynaecology, proctology and oral care.

Because the audience is international distributors and partners. When the market is global, English as the main language reduces friction and widens the pool of genuinely useful contacts.

To give each partner access only to the content that concerns them: price lists, technical documentation and support materials. The right content for the right people, securely.

By application area rather than by product code. People looking for a solution start from the clinical problem, so navigation must follow that logic instead of the internal structure of the catalogue.

Because the audience assesses reliability above all. An orderly layout, generous white space and clear hierarchies convey rigour and make technical information easy to compare.

Yes. Content must be agreed with whoever handles regulatory matters in the company, so that the terminology is consistent with official documentation and device classification.

Yes. The news section and the catalogue can be updated from the back end, so the company publishes launches and updates on its own, creating fresh content that also helps organic positioning.
