Your website's ranking according to Google
When you create a website, you also need to make sure it ranks properly on search engines. But understanding what Google prefers, and therefore what it chooses to show its users, is not easy: the Search Engine Journal has explained which factors determine how a website ranks on the web.
As there is no official information from Google, we rely on those who work in digital marketing and who, after numerous studies and research projects, have identified some of the factors that affect the ranking of a website.
Content
Content is the fundamental factor for search engine ranking: without it, a website has no reason to exist.
For this reason our web agency actively takes care of content writing that is not only SEO-oriented, but also high-quality, in-depth and relevant to the user browsing the web.
Backlinks
These are the links a website receives from external sites: for Google they are a very important popularity factor, useful for understanding how often the site in question is recommended to other users.
Earning backlinks is not difficult if you create unique and interesting content, well shared on social networks, which encourage other users to share it.
Responsive website
On average, more than half of all visits to a website come from mobile devices rather than PCs: this is why we have been building responsive websites for our clients for years.
Google increasingly rewards responsive websites, as they are the only ones that guarantee the same content on both versions.
Technical factors
- https is a ranking factor in its own right: the SSL security certificate ensures that all communications to and from the website are encrypted and therefore more secure than those of sites without one;
- anchor text, i.e. the words or phrases we use to create links within the same site or to third-party sites.
Simple but fundamental, these are just some of the factors a website needs in order to rank as well as possible on search engines, and therefore on Google.
