Online shopping on the rise

Online shopping on the rise

According to a UPS survey, UPS being one of the largest home delivery service companies, online purchases have overtaken in-store purchases.

Although the overtaking is minimal, and does not include the food sector, new technologies have brought a turning point in the world of commerce. This change has come about thanks to young people, i.e. everyone in the 18 to 34 age group: they are the ones using more and more mobile devices to make purchases on e-commerce platforms.

This is why we at NewVisibility decided to take the path of creating e-commerce platforms, which we have been building for years for both large and small businesses in the province of Como, having sensed how much potential they can offer to anyone who runs a business.

We have noticed that the increase in online purchases is not only due to larger phone and tablet screens, which improve how well websites adapt to mobile viewing, but also to the assurance users have about secure payment methods.

At Newvisibility we work on the creation and management of websites, constantly trying to improve them to make them ever more responsive and so satisfy customers during their online shopping experience.

Out of 100 purchases made, 51 come from e-commerce, against 49 from shops: a minimal difference, which however refers to the US market, where technology is far more developed than in Europe.

Although mobile devices are convenient and easy to use, 95% of consumers remain loyal to the desktop and the good old computer for making purchases online.
