Osteria I Gradoni is a venue in Como, born out of a passion for craft beer, fine wines and good food.

The owners approached our communications agency in Como to create a showcase website to highlight their products during the lockdown caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, when venues were forced to close to contain the spread of the virus.

To this end, our developers designed a simple website, featuring essential pages such as the home page, products, menu and contact details, to make it easier for the venue to communicate with its customers.

Three distinct passions in three separate sections

Showcase website for an osteria and craft beer bar

Osteria I Gradoni is a venue in Como born from a passion for craft beer, quality wines and good food. The owners turned to our agency to create a showcase website that would display their products.

The structural choice reflects a simple fact: in a venue like this, the three passions are not interchangeable. People looking for a beer bar with a craft selection, a wine bar or somewhere to have dinner arrive with different expectations, and a single menu would have flattened all three identities into a generic venue in Como.

The website is therefore divided into separate sections for drinks, craft beers, wines and food, giving each offering the space it needs to tell its story. In a sector where the selection is the selling point, being able to describe a beer or wine list for what it is, rather than as an appendix to the menu, makes the difference between an ordinary venue and one with a clear identity.

The project is completed by a products section, reflecting the venue's role as a wine shop: alongside eating and drinking on the premises there are retail sales, a channel that needs to be communicated explicitly because it is not a given that an osteria offers it. The website is essential by choice, because for a venue with a well-defined urban catchment area the priority is to be found quickly by people deciding where to go.

A venue with three passions is not a generic venue

An osteria born from a passion for craft beer, wine and cooking risks becoming, online, simply another venue in Como. That is what happens when the three offerings end up in a single menu: all three identities are lost in exchange for a generic one.

With I Gradoni we therefore gave each one its own section. In a venue where the selection is the selling point, a beer list presented as content in its own right says much more than the same list tacked on to the end of the menu. We are based in the province of Como and have been working with local restaurants and venues for years.

NewVisibility was founded in 2013 by Andrea and Luca, lifelong friends who had already been building websites for several years before giving themselves a name. Since then we have worked with more than three hundred clients. We are a team on a human scale: you speak directly with the people working on your project, with no intermediaries, even after launch.

NewVisibility, a communication agency in Como, which created the venue's showcase website, highlighting its three offerings.

A venue in Como born from a passion for craft beer, quality wines and good food, which combines table service with the sale of selected products.

Because people looking for a beer bar, a wine bar or a restaurant have different expectations. A single menu would flatten three distinct identities into a generic venue.

Because in a specialist venue the selection is the selling point. Presenting it as content in its own right, not as an appendix, conveys a clear identity.

It shows that the venue also sells to take away, which is not a given for an osteria. It is a sales channel that must be stated explicitly to be used.

Because for a venue with an urban catchment area the priority is to be found by people deciding where to go. Sales take place on the premises, not online.

Yes, we work with several businesses in the Como and Cantù area, tailoring structure and content to the type of venue and its customer base.
