Core a Core is a small pizzeria in the heart of Cantù that aims to bring authentic Neapolitan pizza to the town.

The owner of the business approached our communications agency, NewVisibility, to create a website for his pizzeria with the following features: clear, fast and easy to navigate.

So our web developers designed a responsive website for the new pizzeria, optimised for SEO, both technically and in terms of text content and images.

A single page, because people need to decide quickly

Website development for a pizzeria

For Pizzeria Core a Core in Cantù we created a website built around just two pieces of information: what is on the menu and how to order takeaway. Everything else was deliberately left out.

The choice of a one-page structure comes from real user behaviour. People looking for a pizzeria almost always do so on their smartphone, often just minutes before deciding, and every extra click between arriving on the website and reading the menu is a chance to go elsewhere. A single scrolling page eliminates navigation entirely: the content arrives as you scroll, with no menus to open or pages to load.

The website therefore highlights the menu and the takeaway service, presenting the venue’s offer of traditional pizzas and special creations. Practical information, address and contacts, is always within reach, because in this type of business the phone call is still the main ordering channel.

It is a small project, and that should be said: not every client needs an elaborate structure. For a neighbourhood venue with a well-defined catchment area, an essential, fast website works better than a complex system nobody would browse to the end. Sizing the project to the real goal is as much part of the job as building it.

Sizing the project to the goal is part of the job

With Core a Core the most professionally correct decision was to propose less than we could have. A neighbourhood pizzeria with a well-defined catchment area does not need an elaborate system: it needs the menu to open in a second on the smartphone of whoever is deciding where to have dinner.

That is why we started from user behaviour rather than from a list of possible sections. We are in Cantù and have always worked with local businesses, so we know how to tell when a project needs to grow and when it should stay essential. Recommending a bigger structure than necessary is easy, but it does not serve the client.

NewVisibility was founded in 2013 from an idea by Andrea and Luca, lifelong friends who had already been building websites for several years before giving themselves a name. Since then we have worked with more than three hundred clients. We are a team on a human scale: you speak directly with the people working on your project, with no intermediaries, even after launch.

Because people looking for somewhere to eat decide within minutes on their smartphone. A single scrolling page eliminates navigation and puts the menu in front of them immediately.

The menu, takeaway options and contacts. For a neighbourhood venue, anything else adds steps without adding value for the person choosing.

No. Quality lies in sizing the project to the real goal: for some businesses an essential, fast website works better than a structure nobody would browse.

Yes, even before desktop. Searching for a venue almost always happens on the move, so the layout is designed starting from that screen.

Yes. In neighbourhood restaurants, takeaway orders still largely come by phone, so the number must always be within thumb’s reach.

Yes, we work with several restaurants in the Cantù and Como area, tailoring the structure to the type of venue and its customer base.
